The Declaration of Independence

This certainly sounds a lot like todays Tea party. People standing up for what is right, when their government goes too far astray. But now the Democrats call these brave folks, Nazi and rightwingers, racist.

The Great Wave of 2011 to hit Japan

This is the best video I've seen of the damage the great wave caused when it hit Japan. Unbelieveable.

Like the Black Plague, ‘Sharia4UK’ shuts down the streets of London with ‘Sharia4Libya’ protest march

BareNakedIslam blog

Dressed in black garbage bags and carrying the black flag of Jihad, supporters of Shari’a chant that Shari’a law is the only option, not only for Libya, but for the UK, America, Europe and the rest of the West.

Think Africa Press–A spokesman for the demonstrators – whose nationality is unknown – referred to the “changing tides of the world”: for the demonstrators, events in North Africa are indicative of something more than the expulsion of dictators.

Does democracy mean Sharia law? It does for Muslims. So why are we in Libya fighting to bring Sharia Law and the Muslim Brotherhood to Libya, just as we are seeing now in Egypt?

I'd trade Allen West for that Muslim in the White House any day of the week. West understands the threat we face from Islam and Sharia.

Veena Malik - You Go Girl! One tough Pakistani Lady

Malik is a beautiful, talented, and tough-skinned Pakistani actress. Last year, she appeared on "Bigg Boss", the Indian version of Big Brother. As part of the show ("reality TV" is of course heavily scripted) Malik played into a romantic situation with Indian actor Ashmit Patel. This stirred up quite a controversy, partly because Malik, a Pakistani, was working in India, and also because her appearance and romantic dalliance on a secular show was considered by fundamentalist Muslims to be disgraceful.

Last January, Malik was invited by Kamran Shahid to be a guest on his popular talk show. Shahid confronted Malik with charges that she had brought shame to Pakistan, and then turned the show over to Mufti Abdul Qavi, who attempted to further shame Malik by stating, "No one in Pakistan can look at her pictures in the presence of their daughters."

Sure, the whole thing was probably a setup, but Veena Malik's fiery response to Mufti Qavi simply has to be seen to be believed. Seriously -- she Hands. Him. His. Ass. On. A. Plate. With a heapin' helping of whoop-ass on the side. MEMRI-TV recently uploaded a video of the episode, with English translations:

If more Muslims were like Veena Malik, then perhaps there would be a chance for real change from the hateful ideology Islam really is.

Muslims Are Telling Us Very Clearly

Gates of Vienna blog

Monday, March 21, 2011They’re Telling Us Very Clearly

Below is another excellent report by Erick Stakelbeck at CBN News. This one concerns the Muslim Students Association (MSA), the first of the Muslim Brotherhood front groups established in the United States. Despite the listing of the MSA as an affiliate in good standing of the Holy Land Foundation — the MB “charity” convicted in 2008 for its support of Islamic terrorism — the MSA is widely regarded as a normal mainstream religious organization, as if it were the Muslim equivalent of the Methodist Youth Fellowship.

In his report Mr. Stakelbeck outlines the history of the MSA, and takes a brief look at some of the former leaders of the MSA who went on to illustrious careers in Al Qaeda.

‘HOLY’ QURAN VERDICT: Guilty as charged. SENTENCE: Execution by ‘firing’ squad.

Bare Naked Islam

A controversial US evangelical preacher oversaw the burning of a copy of the Quran in a small Florida church after finding the Muslim holy book “guilty” of crimes.

Actual burning here: Florida Quran Burning

AFP –GAINESVILLE, Florida —The burning was carried out by pastor Wayne Sapp under the supervision of Terry Jones, who last September drew sweeping condemnation over his plan to ignite a pile of Korans on the anniversary of September 11, 2001 attacks.

Sunday’s event was presented as a trial of the book in which the Quran was found “guilty” and “executed.”

The jury deliberated for about eight minutes. The book, which had been soaking for an hour in kerosene, was put in a metal tray in the center of the church, and Sapp started the fire with a barbecue lighter. The book burned for around 10 minutes while some onlookers posed for photos.

Jones had drawn trenchant condemnation from many people, including US President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, over his plan to burn the Muslim holy book in September.

He did not carry out his plan then and vowed he never would, saying he had made his point. But this time, he said he had been “trying to give the Muslim world an opportunity to defend their book,” but did not receive any answer.
He said he felt that he couldn’t have a real trial without a real punishment. Jadwiga Schatz, who came to show support for Jones, expressed concern that Islam was growing in Europe. ”These people, for me, are like monsters,” she said. “I hate these people.”

Its only a book.  Muslims need to get a life. Don't they have anything better to do then to burn down Christian churches, and kill christians and jews. So what so bad when non muslims burn a book.

Obama-Linked Socialists Encourage Spread of Militant Protests

Two Obama-linked socialists are planning a national "Teach-in" to help intensify and spread protests against state budget cuts and austerity measures.

Frances Fox Piven and Cornel West, both leaders of the U.S.'s largest Marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America, are planning to link up with activists across the U.S. on April 5 to encourage further militant actions.

According to socialist website In these Times,

The pro-public union protests in Wisconsin over the past month have marked a major turning point in the American political debate over an elite-backed austerity agenda, declares Frances Fox Piven, perhaps America's foremost authority on social protest movements.

"We are on the cusp of a great movement to resist and roll back that corporate domination by banks, energy companies and war profiteers," Piven and fellow activist/academic Professor Cornell West write in The Nation. They believe that the Wisconsin model of resistance against the elite agenda of endless cutbacks for working people, undertaken in the name of balancing the budget, must be spread across the nation. To help that happen, Piven and West are promoting a national teach-in April 5 on fighting the austerity agenda that will be conducted on dozens of campuses.

Fox Piven and her late husband and D.S.A. comrade Richard Cloward, were the originators of the infamous "Cloward - Piven Strategy" - a policy of deliberately overloading state welfare systems to the point of bankruptcy. It appears that now Piven wants to push states underwater by blocking their ability to resist exorbitant labor union demands. The main culprit is of course the government workers union, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees which is controlled by Piven and West's Democratic Socialists of America comrades.

Fox Piven has been an endorser of both Feminists for Peace and Barack Obama, and Progressives for Obama. In the mid 1990s Fox Piven and Cornel West were both leading members of the New Party, a joint D.S.A./SEIU/ACORN/Institute for Policy Studies project designed to move the Democratic Party to the far left.
Barack Obama was a leading activist with the Chicago New Party from approximately 1993 to 1996.

On Dec. 22, 2010, Frances Fox Piven wrote an article for The Nation entitled "Mobilizing the Jobless".

""Before people can mobilize for collective action, they have to develop a proud and angry identity and a set of claims that go with that identity. They have to go from being hurt and ashamed to being angry and indignant...

Local protests have to accumulate and spread -- and become more disruptive -- to create serious pressures on national politicians. An effective movement of the unemployed will have to look something like the strikes and riots that have spread across Greece in response to the austerity measures forced on the Greek government by the European Union, or like the student protests that recently spread with lightning speed across England in response to the prospect of greatly increased school fees.

Protests by the unemployed led by young workers and by students, who face a future of joblessness, just might become large enough and disruptive enough to have an impact in Washington...We should hope for another American social movement from the bottom -- and then join it."

Piven and West are applying the "pressure from below", needed to complement Obama's "pressure from above."

Obama is using taxes, regulation and debt to destroy the U.S. middle class.

Frances Fox Piven, Cornel West and their D.S.A. and Communist Party USA comrades are using welfare beneficiaries, students and labor unions to ratchet up the pressure.

Make no mistake - Frances Fox Piven, Cornel West, Democratic Socialists of America and their nearly 30 year comrade Barack Obama are waging an undeclared war on Middle America.

Teachers Physically Assaulted by Islamists

Islamist Watch Blog
by David J. Rusin  •  Feb 26, 2011 at 12:03 pm

Classroom topics ranging from ham to the Holocaust have been known to inspire complaints, demands, and legal threats by offended Muslims, but sometimes even violence can erupt.

Consider the case of Gary Smith, head of religious education at Central Foundation Girls' School in the Islamist stronghold of Tower Hamlets, a borough of London, England. Recent court proceedings illuminate an incident from last July, when four men attacked Smith with a knife, a metal rod, and a cement block as he walked on the street, leaving him with significant injuries. Why? "They did not approve of him teaching religion to Muslim girls," the Daily Mail reports:

Detectives made secret recordings of the gang's plot to attack Mr. Smith prior to the brutal assault.

The covert audio probe captured the gang condemning Mr. Smith for "teaching other religions to our sisters," the court heard.

"The evidence from what was said on the probe points overwhelmingly to a religious motive for this attack," the prosecutor concluded. The men pleaded guilty and will remain in custody until sentencing. Police have denied knowing of the gang's intentions beforehand.

This is not the first example of a teacher in Europe being physically assaulted because his or her benign words or actions at school had distressed Muslim sensibilities:

•Two years ago in Denmark, Rabih Abou Khamis, an ethnic Palestinian Muslim, pummeled and bit an instructor who had shaken his nine-year-old daughter's hand at the start of a parent-teacher meeting. In the words of a police superintendent, the father insisted that the educator's behavior had been "indecent" and "gone too far and offended his honor." Khamis was convicted and sentenced to prison time.

•Last year in France, a teacher claimed that a student had sprayed her and an assistant with "teargas" during a lesson on 9/11. She stated that "he stood up and declared that al-Qaeda is not terrorist and that neither is the Taliban," before pulling out a canister and dousing them. According to a Dutch news item, the student is of North African origin. IW has been unable to determine the outcome of the criminal complaint filed against the teen.

Non-Muslims commit the vast majority of violence suffered by teachers in the West, but what of religiously motivated violence targeting educators? Robust statistics are lacking. However, combining the above cases with the paucity of comparable incidents sparked by teachers' perceived insults to religions other than Islam, there is reason to suspect that in this genre of faith-driven brutality, Islamists once again account for a disproportionate share of assailants.
One thing is certain: sooner or later, the supremacist ideology of radical Islam spawns outbreaks of violence. Minimizing such violence must begin with combating the ideology at its core.

Madison Wisconsin: Just What Are The Demonstrators Demonstrating?

Of Thee I Sing 1776 blog
by Hal Gershowitz and Stephen Porter on March 1, 2011

It was like a root canal without the benefit of Novocain, watching and listening to the harangue on RT (Russia Today) about how the protests in Madison Wisconsin, Cairo, Libya, Bahrain, and Tunis are all one in the same, that is, the people revolting against dictators who want to bring back feudalism. The protests in Madison are, actually, far more akin to the protests in Athens Greece. The throngs in Madison, like the protesters in Athens consist, primarily, of government workers who are unalterably opposed to government interference with the pension and benefit entitlements their unions have squeezed out of the taxpayers; never mind that such unfunded benefits have turned Greece, half of Europe and more than half of the states in America into financial basket cases.

Make no mistake about it. This is a very high-stakes dust-off with historic implications for the country. If the union and its AWOL, left-leaning legislator allies win, this spectacle becomes the game plan for government unions in every other state that has been brought to its knees by unreasonable, if not incompetent, agreements between government employees and, well, government employees who sit on both sides of the bargaining table. And if the Governor and his Republican allies win, their victory will show politicians in both parties how to unburden their constituents of the continued growth in these same, ever-growing, largely unfunded liabilities.

The union members say they are willing to negotiate pay cuts and pension cuts (the governor’s bill would up the teachers’ contribution to a modest 12% of the costs of their healthcare insurance and only 6% of their income for their pensions) but not the right to collectively bargain over their pension entitlements. The governor wants to readdress a 2009 law the, then, Democratic legislature passed that expanded public unions’ collective-bargaining rights and lifted existing limits on teacher raises.

The problem, of course, is that those who bargain with the government employees’ unions have no real skin in the game. They stand only to lose the taxpayers’ hard-earned money through the higher taxes taxpayers will have to pay for the deficits when they come due, or for the higher interest Wisconsin will have to pay for its debt because investors (think bond vigilantes) know a riskier investment when they see one. A bond vigilante is simply the moniker given to those bond investors who, in effect, protest by selling bonds they believe to be “overrated” thereby causing the issuing entity to pay higher interest rates. And therein lies the rub. The projected return on investments of most local and state government pension plans are unrealistically high, the paid-in contributions are, thus, unrealistically low and the result is that runaway unfunded liabilities plague almost all of these pension plans. As a result, the cost to local and state governments of the debt they issue may well go through the proverbial roof.

To make matters worse, accounting rules for public pension plans (compared to private pension plans) make it very difficult to spot the inadequacies. The union strategy and, it seems, that of the Democrats who are so beholden to the teachers’ unions, is to demonize Governor Walker through a vilification campaign that would make most any lunatic fringe blush. His attempt to begin reining in Wisconsin’s two-year $3.6 billion budget deficit has produced some remarkable vitriol. One protestor called Walker’s proposed legislation “a coordinated effort to ruin the middle class,” another called Madison “pre-Nazi Germany”, and we, along with a few million other television news viewers, saw yet another protester proclaim, “…first they came for the Jews,” a rather creepy reference to the German anti-Nazi activist, Pastor Martin Niemöller’s poem about Nazi genocide. Well, so much for the civil discourse for which, no doubt, many of these same people were pleading just a short time ago.

Hopefully, no one will get a migraine from all the shouting and vitriol because their doctor might just be one of those white-coated miscreants passing out doctors’ excuses to teachers for being absent from their classrooms.

The unions clearly do not want the focus to be on deficits or unfunded liabilities so the mantra that has emerged, regrettably abetted by President Obama, is that the Madison confrontation is all about an attack on unions. Well not exactly. It’s really about state and local pension liabilities estimated by leading economists to be about $2.5 trillion, compared to the $493 billion to which public sector smoke-and-mirror accounting admits. Throw in the other unfunded non-pension benefits such as vision-care, dental care, etc and the nation’s state and local unfunded liabilities climb to over $3.0 trillion according to economists Courtney A. Collins, and Andrew J. Rettenmaier.

While Wisconsin’s contribution to the sorry state of state and local disarray is just a piece of the problem, what is going on in Madison serves notice to elected officials throughout the United States of what is in store for them when they try to get control of the spending sprees that are endemic in legislatures, large and small, from coast to coast.

We are not entirely unsympathetic to the teachers and other government union members who have generally paid stiff union dues to be represented by their collective bargainers. In Wisconsin those dues are reported to be between $700 and $1,000 a year per member. Small wonder the union members have taken to the streets to keep what their hard-earned dues payments have secured. But Scott Walker was elected governor precisely because the majority of Wisconsin’s citizens, not unlike the citizens of almost every other state, want a change of course for their particular ship of state. State budgets are not going to be brought under control by timid, cosmetic gestures. “A little dab will do ya” went out with Wildroot Cream Oil, Charlie. State budgets, like the federal budget, are going to be seriously recalibrated, either by responsible public officials acting in response to common sense or by their replacements acting in response to fed up creditors who are financing our federal government and nearly every state in the country. Think it won’t happen here? Just ask the once heady Japanese who just had their bond ratings hammered by Moody’s Investor Service on concern (now get this) that political gridlock will constrain efforts to tackle their debt problems.

And speaking of political gridlock, let us linger for a moment on the spectacle of state Democratic legislators hightailing it out of Wisconsin to hide in Rockford Illinois so that the legislature is powerless to enact legislation. No, Mister President what is happening in Wisconsin is not an attack on unions. It is far more an attack on democracy. We would hope the people of Wisconsin would demand that these legislators not be paid during their absence, and that any third-party paid room and board or reimbursement of expenses for their foray into Rockford be viewed as compensation of value to effect legislation…otherwise known as bribery.

Marc Faber On The Japanese Disaster, On A 20% Market Correction And On QE18

Zero Hedge blog

Don't ignore the words of Marc Faber, when he speaks, people in the know listen.

Marc Faber appeared earlier on CNBC in response to a plunging market, and gave his latest updated outlook on QE3... and 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 (not to mention 18). "We may drop 10 to 15 percent. Then QE 2 will come, (then) QE 4, QE 5, QE 6, QE 7—whatever you want. The money printer will continue to print, that I'm sure. Actually I made a mistake. I meant to say QE 18." Faber was modestly constructive on the Japanese selloff, which at one point hit 18% down in overnight futures trading: "This huge selloff is an investment opportunity in Japanese equities, but if a meltdown occurs then all bets are off." As usual, there is no love loss between Faber and the Chairsatan (recall that today's Empire Manufacturing survey confirmed margins continue to be crushed due to surging input costs): "I think Mr. Bernanke doesn't know much about the global economy but he probably watches the S&P every day." And on Fed criticism: ""Until very recently the Feds have had very few critiques, very few people criticized the Fed's policies under Mr. Greenspan and Mr. Bernanke. Over the last few months, a lot of critical comments have come up about the Fed and its money-printing habit. The S&P drops 20 percent (and) all the critics will be silent and they will all applaud new money-printing." No fear of that here: Zero Hedge has been rather vocal in our opinion of the world's most destructive central planning buro from day one. We will continue being so, regardless how low the S&P plummets... Perhaps even to its fair value south of 500.

The art of deceit - terrorists' weapon route

IsraeliGirl Blog
March 15, 2011

March 15th in the open waters of the Mediterranean Sea - an innocent looking commercial ship flying a Liberian flag is stopped by the Israel navy. The operation was approved by PM Netanyahu taking into account confirmed reports that the vessel was carrying illicit arms destined for terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.

Nothing in the freight manifest of the Victoria revealed the true nature of the content of the ship's containers. The crew had no idea they were carrying illegal weapons intended for terrorists and were quite surprised when a preliminary search by the boarding party, found significant amounts of arms and military equipment.

In addition to weapons, soldiers who boarded the "Victoria" also found a radar used to detect ships prior to the launching of missiles from the coast.

There is no doubt these weapons would have been used by Hamas against Israeli civilians. This attempt at smuggling large amounts of weaponry aboard the Victoria provides additional proof of Israel’s imperative need to examine all goods entering the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.

Iran has been creative in its attempts to transfer weapons to it's allies in the region over the last 10 years. Weapons were transferred on board ships like Karine A (carried 50 tons of weapons), aerial convoys and trains. Weapons are often concealed as humanitarian aid. After the earthquake in southern Iran in January 2004, the world was sending in help to Iran. In return, Iran disguised aerial convoys as humanitarian aid and tried to smuggle weapons to Hezbollah. A few years after that an Iranian train carrying arms (mortar shells, light arms, rocket launchers and ammunition) was uncovered in Turkey. The arms were destined for Hezbollah. Again , the Iranians attempted to conceal and disguise the arms in order to avoid suspicion by the Turkish authorities.

The illegal smuggling of arms to the Gaza Strip poses a direct and imminent threat to the safety and security of Israel and its citizens. As Hamas keeps firing rockets from Gaza, Iran will do whatever it can to keep the weapon route alive. All of us in hope for peace but as long as terrorists control Gaza, Israel must maintain its naval blockade and ensure weapons will not reach their hands.

(ANSAmed) - ROME - The time for Gaddafi's counterattack has come: 100,000 volunteers who have enlisted in recent hours, according to an announcement from the regime, are marching together with regular troops to regain territories held by the rebels. Combat is taking place in the eastern and western parts of the country. About 100km from the Tunisian border, the colonel's armoured vehicles have entered Zuwarah and are conquering the centre of the costal city. In the east, their next objective is Ajdabya, 250km from Benghazi. "Fabric stores in the city are out of green cloth," said an officer in the pro-Gaddafi forces. "The population is waiting for the Army to arrive at any time so that they can finally come out of their homes and celebrate." Showing great confidence in his imminent victory, Gaddafi has invited Chinese, Russian and Indian businesses (the countries that have not yet sided against his regime) to come to Libya to exploit the country's oil, after the major companies of the Western world leave. On the diplomatic front, the situation is at a standstill: one the one hand, after an official request from the Arab League, international pressure on the UN is mounting for the organisation to proclaim a no-fly zone over Libya to prevent the Libyan army from bombarding the cities held by the rebels, while on the other hand, countries like China and Russia (which have veto power in the Security Council) continue to express serious doubts about such a plan. Turkey, the only Muslim member of NATO, is openly opposed to a no-fly zone, saying that foreign military intervention would create "dangerous results". (ANSAmed).

It doesn't look like there will be democracy anytime soon in Libya. But does anyone really think there will be in Egypt?

Union Rules at a House of Prostitution

Gates of Vienna Blog
Monday March 14, 2011

This joke just came in over the transom here at Gates of Vienna Enterprises:

A dedicated Teamsters Union worker was attending a convention in Las Vegas and decided to check out the legal brothels in Nevada .

When he got to the first one, he asked the Madame, “Is this a union house?”

“No,” she replied, “I’m sorry, but it isn’t.”

“Well, if I pay you $100, what do the girls get?”

“The house gets $80 and the girls get $20,” she answered.

Offended at such unfair dealings, the union man stomped off down the street in search of a more equitable, hopefully unionized shop. His search continued until finally he reached a brothel where the Madame responded, “Why yes sir, this is a union house. We observe all union rules.”

The man asked, “And, if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?”

“The girls get $80 and the house gets $20,” she replied.

“That’s more like it!” the union man said. He handed the Madame $100, looked around the room, and pointed to a stunningly attractive green-eyed blonde.

“I’d like her,” he said.

“I’m sure you would, sir,” said the Madam, “but…”
\She gestured to a 72-year old woman in the corner.

“…Ethel here has 50 years seniority, and according to union rules, she’s next.”

Islamic Thoughts blog

The Islamic claim, “We love death more than you infidels love life,” is not only showing arrogance about something one cannot possibly know, it is also remarkably crazy. Let’s say I live in Nebraska and I tell my neighbours, “I love China more than you love Nebraska,” even though I have never been to China. I may sound stupid but I might not be considered crazy by those who hear my claim. This is because I am privy to information about the world. Maybe I have seen documentaries on TV about China, or have spoken to people who I believe have gone to China and have reported back to me about the wonderment of China. While this is not absolute proof that China exists, it is something most would agree constitutes viable evidence for its existence. And if those who have reported about China on TV depicted it to my liking, I can be relatively confident that the TV network is broadcasting an accurate description of China as it is in their best interest to do so. Let’s face it, one can only take philosophical paranoia so far.

But if I make a claim about death, saying that I love it, this claim has to either be a lie, or proof of my need to increase my medication. I have never been dead, know nobody dead who has reported to me what death is like, so that I can to render a judgement about its state. A Muslim’s concept of death comes from an Iron Age work of fiction, written by a war lord who used this book, the Koran, as a recruitment tool, and makes claims of the book’s inviolability and perfection because it is the perfect word of the creator of the universe. Interestingly, the book is poorly written, tends to be repetitious, offers no insights of the world beyond the desert, and this fictional creator hates over fifty percent of those creatures he has created. Not a very intelligent god, this Allah, but a very political one.

If I wanted to get a group of tough guys to follow me into the jaws of death, I would tell them that if they had my back, they would be guaranteed all the booty they could carry on their camels, all the slaves they could have sex with (and would do their dirty laundry), and a paradise built like a billionaire’s boys club with even a little homoerotic boy-toys thrown in for those martyrs with different tastes. Think about it–the most sexually repressed religion on earth, would reward its men a veritable screw-fest in death. This from a religion that has its women cover all their exposed skin and hair and walk around in a cloth sack, and does not allow them to travel outside without a sponsor. In several Muslim nations women are forbidden to drive a car or go to school–yes, this religion promises unending sex to its martyrs. A bevy of 72 virgins of like age who are not only pure, but they’re shy so you don’t have to worry about them cheating on you. What a paradise! Now that’s a cool political move.

We all know that when discussing religion (or faith, for need of a more accurate word), any sign of disrespect for the supernatural is taboo. This is certainly true of all Abrahamic religions, but with Islam, it is Taboo’s big brother who I will call Sharia; it’s a death sentence in Muslim countries, and the same is true in the west but killing someone for pointing out things that Mohammad actually said isn’t legal here–although it happens. We cannot talk about who the terrorists actually are because then we’d have to say that eighty percent tend to be Muslim. We cannot say they are preaching anti-Semitism in most American mosques because that would be racist Islamophobia. And even though Islam is not a race, and a phobia is an irrational belief, (being afraid of terrorism is not irrational), we are a society that our grandchildren are going to be ashamed of if we continue along this path by continuing to pretend that Islam is a religion of peace. It is a religion of peace if you are Muslim, a dhimmi who pays a jizya (tax) for protection, or are dead because you didn’t follow the above steps of sharia.

Sure, the Koran says “Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects Taghut (evil) and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trust worthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things. ” (Sura 2:256). What Islamic apologists fail to add is that this verse was written when Mohammad was in Mecca and had only 150 followers, but when he got to Medina, his flock of Mohammad worshipers increased to about 10 thousand.

It is important to know that the Koran is not laid out in chronological order, but in the length of the chapters (Suras). Sura 9:5 came well after the peaceful Sura (above) and states “When the sacred months have passed, kill the idolaters where ever you find them.” Another Sura, 47:4 says: “When you encounter the unbelievers, Strike off their heads. Until you have made a wide slaughter among them tie up the remaining captives.” Verses that come later in the Koran abrogate all prior verses. So then, Sura 9:5 was written near the end of the prophet’s life and abrogates all the peaceful verses. Islamic apologists would have you believe Islam is a religion of peace, but the Koran says otherwise.

The Arrogance of Authority

A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas , and talked with an old rancher.

He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs."

The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.....", as he pointed out the location.

The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me !"

Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.

"See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish.... On anyland !!

No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself you understand ?!!"

The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores.

A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull......

With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified.

The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs.....

(I just love this part....)

"Your badge, show him your BADGE........ ! !"

Muslims in the West: Loyal to Whom?

Middle East Forum
A briefing by Mark Durie

January 20, 2011

Mark Durie is a theologian, human rights activist, and pastor of an Anglican church in Australia. He has held visiting appointments at the University of Leiden, MIT, UCLA, and Stanford. During his years in Indonesia, he observed a society in which a Muslim majority tried to enforce Islamic law on its sizable Christian minority, leading to his acclaimed 2010 book, The Third Choice, which examines the status of non-Muslims under Islamic rule. On January 20 he spoke to the Middle East Forum in New York on the topic of loyalty.

By understanding how Muslim scholars address the question of loyalty, Westerners may better understand why their nations often have problems assimilating their Muslim populations, asserts Mr. Durie.

The question of loyalty has had tragic implications: Mr. Durie cited the case of Major Nidal Hasan as an expression of isolation and tension commonly experienced between Muslim minorities residing in Western communities. He states that whereas Western Judeo-Christian ethics separated religion and state centuries ago, Islam intertwines religion and state into an inseparable whole. In fact, scholars of Islamic jurisprudence have never concretely settled the lawfulness of a Muslim living in the West, or Dar al-Harb—the "House of War."

Mr. Durie next tackled several proposed solutions to this problem. Traditional Islamic jurisprudence justifies living in Dar al-Harb (permissible only for a few days) if fleeing from religious persecution. A contemporary solution, then, leans on the Muslim principle that "necessity abrogates the obligatory." Mr. Durie states that if, for example, a Muslim does not have access to halal food, he can eat non-halal food out of necessity. In the same fashion, a Muslim fleeing persecution may settle in the West out of necessity to practice Islam freely (hence the many Islamists who settle in the West to escape persecution from their autocratic opponents). In fact, Mr. Durie cited some Islamic scholars who consider the United States more "Islamic" than majority-Muslim nations, because the U.S. allows for complete religious freedom. He points out, however, that many Islamic scholars agree that a Muslim must think of himself as a Muslim first and a citizen of his country second.

Mr. Durie proposes that Islam adopt a theology of the brotherhood of humanity, wherein all can benefit through mutual assistance—rather than Muslims solely benefiting through ideological domination. He concluded by stating that, if we do not wish to surrender Muslim Americans to foreign law on our own soil, concessions to Islamic law must not be made. During question-and-answer, Mr. Durie implored the West to have the "guts" to understand Islam as a religious-political system—and to take the steps necessary to change our own understandings, not just those of Muslims living in the West.

UK’s Daniel Hannan: US dangerously close to going the way of Europe

Sister Toldjah Blog
Posted by: ST on March 12, 2011 at 10:42 am

Still don’t understand how this guy could have even for as second supported Barack Obama’s candidacy over John McCain’s, but I’m certainly thankful that he’s since seen the light. One of the UK’s most dynamic politicos wrote in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal about how America is dangerously going the way of Europe – and that’s good for no one but controlling, liberal elite power-hungry types (via Cubachi):

My guess is that, if anything, Obama would verbalize his ideology using the same vocabulary that Eurocrats do. He would say he wants a fairer America, a more tolerant America, a less arrogant America, a more engaged America. When you prize away the cliché, what these phrases amount to are higher taxes, less patriotism, a bigger role for state bureaucracies, and a transfer of sovereignty to global institutions.

He is not pursuing a set of random initiatives but a program of comprehensive Europeanization: European health care, European welfare, European carbon taxes, European day care, European college education, even a European foreign policy, based on engagement with supranational technocracies, nuclear disarmament and a reluctance to deploy forces overseas.

I don’t doubt the sincerity of those Americans who want to copy the European model. A few may be snobs who wear their euro-enthusiasm as a badge of sophistication. But most genuinely believe that making their country less American and more like the rest of the world would make it more comfortable and peaceable.

All right, growth would be slower, but the quality of life might improve. All right, taxes would be higher, but workers need no longer fear sickness or unemployment. All right, the U.S. would no longer be the world’s superpower, but perhaps that would make it more popular. Is a European future truly so terrible?

Yes. I have been an elected member of the European Parliament for 11 years. I have seen firsthand what the European political model means.

The critical difference between the American and European unions has to do with the location of power. The U.S. was founded on what we might loosely call the Jeffersonian ideal: the notion that decisions should be taken as closely as possible to the people they affect. The European Union was based on precisely the opposite ideal. Article One of its foundational treaty commits its nations to establish “an ever-closer union.”

Make sure to read the whole thing, and then marvel at how – unfortunately – there are so few politicos on this side of the pond who are willing to boldly and fearlessly step up and speak the truth about the direction this country is headed under the Socialist-esque “leadership” of our celebrity President

The Gathering Storm (part 1)

Thanks to Kitman TV for these videos

Hat tip ZivilizationsCourage and thanks to TheWarWind

The Gathering Storm is a BBC-HBO co-produced television biographical film about Winston Churchill in the years just prior to World War II. The title of the film is the same as the title of the first volume of Churchill's largely autobiographical six-volume history of the war, which covered the period from 1919 to 10 May 1940, the day he became prime minister.

The film stars Albert Finney as Churchill and Vanessa Redgrave as his wife Clementine Churchill ("Clemmie"); Finney gained many accolades for his performance, winning both a BAFTA Award for Best Actor and an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor. The film also features a supporting cast of British actors such as Derek Jacobi, Ronnie Barker, Jim Broadbent, Tom Wilkinson, Celia Imrie, Linus Roache and Hugh Bonneville. Simon Williams and Edward Hardwicke both make brief appearances amongst the supporting cast.

The film was directed by Richard Loncraine and written by Hugh Whitemore. Among the film's executive producers were Ridley Scott and Tony Scott.

Toronto Police Refuse to Investigate Islamist Death Threats

by IPT News • Mar 7, 2011 at 8:20 pm

Canadian authorTarek Fatah has written about his frustration with Canadian authorities' response to a death threat against him.

It came in a Twitter posting containing a Somali profanity. "This is an open threat to Xaar Boy@Tarek Fatah," it read. "I know where you live and where your office is." The sender pictured herself "wearing a purple hijab in the style of Toronto's radical young Islamists," wrote Fatah, founder of the Muslim Canadian Congress.

He explained that he learned about it just after waking up after surgery.

Other Twitter users condemned the threat, with some urging that the woman be arrested. She withdrew the posting, only to repeat the threat later that morning. "He was also the 1 to propose banning the Niqab in Quebec, (and he) supports homosexuality," she wrote, adding: "This is an open threat. I know where you live/work @TarekFatah."

Other Islamists joined the attack against Fatah, with some saying he had brought the threats on himself. Fatah contacted Toronto police. A few hours later, two uniformed policemen came to interview him in the hospital. A minute into the interview, two other men entered and ordered everyone else to leave the room. Fatah recognized the pair as police intelligence officers. One of them "had shut down a previous investigation into a death threat against me in 2008," Fatah wrote.

The same intelligence officer had shut down a 2007 investigation into a death threat directed at another liberal Muslim: Tahir Gora, then a columnist for the Hamilton Spectator, had noticed a Facebook page listing him in a group called "The Enemies of Islam." Next to his name was written: "Pseudo Muslims like you should be put to death."

Gora called the Toronto police and was visited two days later by a pair of Muslim officers who tried to talk him out of filing a complaint against a fellow Muslim. Fatah received a call from a Muslim police officer telling him that the woman who had threatened him twice "didn't mean to say it."

Fatah concludes: "The Toronto police, in their wish to promote an image of diversity and outreach, have dedicated themselves to serving and protecting the radical Islamist elements within our city. Meanwhile, Muslims like myself, who do their best to promote the equality and respect that the police claim to cherish, are left without legal protection when radicals explicitly and publicly threaten us with violence."

The Job That Has Been Chosen For Us

Gates of Vienna Blog
Sunday, March 06, 2011

This afternoon a new organization called The United West was launched in Miami, Florida. Its goal is to unite Western Civilization against sharia.

The United West is an outgrowth of the Florida Security Council, but aims for an international reach. To that end, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff was one of the featured speakers. Below is the text of the speech she gave this afternoon:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I’d like to thank Tom Trento for inviting me to sunny South Florida for the launch of The United West. Coming from frigid Vienna, it is a delight to feel the warmth and enjoy the sun for a change!

I was quite surprised to learn that Florida is one of the hotbeds for radical Muslims in the United States. What brings them here? Do the palm trees and sand remind them of the oases back home?

In any case, they’re here. So why should we worry about Islam?

It’s just a religion, like Judaism or Christianity. We’ve been told not to let a few violent radicals discredit a great religion.

Yes, we’ve all heard these words before. But they are only pretty lies.

Violence is deeply embedded in Islamic theology, and especially in Islamic law, or sharia. Violence is endemic in Islam because its scriptures and law require Muslims to be violent in order to protect Islam and extend sharia throughout the world.

Sharia has already come to my country, and to most of the rest of Western Europe. By accepting the European Union’s “hate speech” laws, European countries are effectively enforcing sharia for their Muslim citizens.

I learned this from personal experience. As most of you know, I was convicted of “hate speech” last month in a Vienna court. The count on which I was convicted was “denigrating the religious beliefs of a legally recognized religion.”

My “crime” was to give seminars in which I told the truth about Islam. By explaining that Mohammed had sex with a nine-year-old girl — which Islamic scriptures declare is true — I “denigrated” the teachings of Islam. I was convicted for saying that “Mohammed had a thing for little kids”.

Well, he did, didn’t he?

But it doesn’t matter, not in Austria. In Austria the truth about Islam, as told by Islam itself, is an insult to Islam.

It would be a joke if the consequences weren’t so serious.

So now it seems we must all learn to shut up and keep our heads down while sharia descends on our countries. As Geert Wilders said: “The lights are going out all over Europe.”

But it’s not just Europe. Sharia is coming to America, too.

It begins with little things, like prayer rooms and footbaths and special prayer breaks for Muslim employees. Then comes “Sharia-compliant finance”, which sounds so innocuous.

Then come the restrictions on speech that offends Muslims.

Such restrictions are already here in the United States. Yes, you have the First Amendment to protect your God-given right to free speech, but that has not been enough to prevent ordinary American citizens from being silenced.

Consider the case of Derek Fenton, a New Jersey state public employee who was fired from his job for burning pages from the Koran at Ground Zero last September 11th. He was expressing his own personal opinions in his off-duty hours. He was exercising his constitutional right to free expression, but it didn’t matter — he lost his livelihood anyway.

Or consider the case of Molly Norris, the Seattle cartoonist who was forced to change her name and go into hiding for drawing the mildest of cartoons about Mohammed. She received a death fatwa, and the FBI told her there was nothing it could do to protect her.

In Kansas and Michigan, Christians were arrested for handing out gospel literature on the public sidewalks of Muslim neighborhoods. They were not charged with “racism” or “incitement to religious hatred” as they would have been in Europe. But there are plenty of laws on the books — “disorderly conduct”, “breach of the peace”, “loitering”, and so on — that have been used to stop them.

It doesn’t take a Constitutional amendment to end free speech in America. Apathy in the face of oppression is enough to do the job.

Free speech is already under assault.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am here to declare a solidarity between Europe and the United States. None of us has to face the Islamic menace alone.

We don’t have to be atomized, alienated, and demoralized. If we work together to resist sharia, we will be victorious.

There are enough of us to make a difference, but we have to be dedicated and resolute. We must band together with like-minded people and fight back.

And this is already happening. Umbrella organizations like this one are being formed to gather together the courageous people who have decided to make a stand. After 9-11, after the Times Square Bomber, after Ft. Hood, and now after the murders in Frankfurt, people are becoming truly aware of what is at stake.

Many fine groups such as the Florida Security Council, the Center for Security Policy and ACT! For America — of which I am Austrian chapter head — are doing the necessary work to resist the international jihad. Our goal should be to increase the connections among groups on both sides of the Atlantic and help them find the resources to be effective.

I took on this job for the sake of my daughter. I looked around at what was happening to my country — burqas and honor killings and female genital mutilation, all the wonderful “cultural enrichment” that comes with sharia — and thought about the kind of world she will have to live in when she grows up.

She is six years old now. What will the streets of Vienna be like when she is sixteen? Or twenty-six? Or thirty-six?

How can I live with myself if I do not at least try to prevent my country from surrendering to Islam?

This is not a job that any of us would have chosen to do, but it is the job that has been chosen for us. Our children and our grandchildren will never forgive us if we fail to act now, while successful action is still possible.

Col. Allen West — now a Congressman from the 22nd District here in Florida — always signs his emails “steadfast and loyal”.

So I’ll just take a leaf from his book: Let us be steadfast and loyal to one another!

Thank you.

Teachers Unions explained

Moonbattery blog

Posted by Van Helsing at March 5, 2011 10:29 AM

It would be hard to imagine a more malignant form of social cancer than teachers unions, which exist to funnel tax dollars to Democrats at the expense of education, with the result that with each passing year children learn less at a higher price.

Step 1: Bust the teachers unions. Step 2: Privatize education. Do it for the children, if not the economy.

Girl Scouts Distribute Planned Parenthood Sex Guide at UN Meeting

By Terrence McKeegan, J.D.

(NEW YORK – C-FAM) The World Association of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides hosted a no-adults-welcome panel at the United Nations this week where Planned Parenthood was allowed to distribute a brochure entitled “Healthy, Happy and Hot.” The event was part of the annual United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) which concludes this week.

The brochure, aimed at young people living with HIV, contains explicit and graphic details on sex, as well as the promotion of casual sex in many forms. The brochure claims, “Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse… But, there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex. There is no right or wrong way to have sex. Just have fun, explore and be yourself!” The brochure goes on to encourage young people to “Improve your sex life by getting to know your own body. Play with yourself! Masturbation is a great way to find out more about your body and what you find sexually stimulating. Mix things up by using different kinds of touch from very soft to hard. Talk about or act out your fantasies. Talk dirty to them.”

The brochure also tells students that national laws requiring HIV-positive people to reveal their status to their partner(s) “violate the rights of people living with HIV” and calls for advocacy to “change laws that violate your rights.” It explains, “There are many reasons that people do not share their HIV status. … They may worry that people will find out something else they have kept secret, like they are using injecting drugs, having sex outside of a marriage or having sex with people of the same gender.”

The Girl Scouts, along with the YWCA have been co-moderating a young women’s caucus that included an “Intergenerational Conversation” side event on “universal access” and “reproductive health.” One recent Girl Scout project “aims at securing the right of women, men and adolescents aged between ten and twenty-five, to better reproductive and sexual health.”

Also at CSW last week, the heads of various powerful UN agencies including the UN Population Fund, UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), UN Children's Fund and the World Health Organization released a “UN Joint Statement” under the name of the “UN Adolescent Girls Task Force,” which calls for their agencies to promote and support programs “that empower … adolescent girls, particularly those aged 10 to 14 years.” One of the chief priorities for empowerment is ensuring access to “life-skills based sexuality education, HIV prevention, and sexual and reproductive health.”

The New York Times recently reported that UN Population Fund had co-sponsored a very controversial curriculum with UNESCO, that included teaching children as young as five to be sexually active and training adolescents to advocate for abortion.

Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women of America told the Friday Fax, “Governments and NGOs should be aware of Planned Parenthood’s insidious plan to work with UN agencies and girls’ organizations in order to profit from encouraging kids to be sexually active.”

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him.

The waitress asks them for their orders.

The man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to
the ostrich, "What's yours?"
"I'll have the same," says the ostrich.

A short time later the waitress returns with the order. "That will
be $9.40 please." The man reaches into his pocket and
pulls out the exact change for payment.

The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man
says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke."
The ostrich says, "I'll have the same."

Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.

This becomes routine until the two enter again. "The usual?"
asks the waitress.

"No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and
a salad," says the man.
"Same," says the ostrich.

Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, "That will be $32.62."
Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and
places it on the table.

The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. "Excuse me,
sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change
in your pocket every time?"

"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and
found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered
me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything,
I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money
would always be there."

"That's brilliant!" says the waitress. "Most people would ask for a
million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want
for as long as you live!"

"That's right..Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact
money is always there," says the man.

The waitress asks, "What's with the ostrich?"

The man sighs, pauses and answers, "My second wish was for a tall chick
with a big ass and long legs who agrees with everything I say.."

Public Sector Union Collective Bargaining for Dummies (aka Leftists)

The Right Sphere Blog

There seems to be a mental block on the part of some when it comes to the inherent corruption of Public Sector Unions and their ability – some claim it is a right – to collectively bargain for better wages and benefits. Yes, you read that correctly. It is inherently corrupt for Public Sector Unions to have this power. Why? Because the parties involved are “bargaining” over money that isn’t theirs. The money belongs to the taxpayers and contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of taxpayers aren’t in a public sector union. The money doesn’t belong to the bureaucrats the unions are “bargaining” with either. Sure, they are tasked with spending that money, but the vast majority of the source of the funds don’t get a “seat at the table.”

In order to explain this in terms that even a Statist (Leftist) can understand, I offer this analogy:

Suppose you share an apartment / house with a few other people. You like to party and don’t mind sharing your stash of weed with the other people you live with so long as you all partake together. Everything is groovy.

Over time you start to notice that you’re the only one really contributing to the merriment. Sure, your roommates kick in a few bucks occasionally, but you’re the one paying the most and taking all the risks by going out and scoring the weed. Naturally, you start being a little more selective about when to break out Mr. Bubbles because there’s only so much you can afford to give away without any significant return for your generosity.

One day you come back home after a rough day and find that someone has helped themselves to a large amount of your ganja. You’re pissed. So you go down to the living room to confront your roommates. “Brah! Who bogarted my kind?” you ask. One of your roommates proceeds to explain that he didn’t think it was fair that you were holding back on everyone and they had decided, among themselves – without your input, that they were going to simply confiscate a certain percentage of your bag.

“Whoa. Whoa. Whoa…. Whoa. What?” echoes through your head. “Yeah, bro. Zeke, Billy and Me, worked with Pete and came up with what we consider a fair divvying up of your sh*t.” (You wonder, briefly if you had said “Whoa” out loud.) And those are the last words you remember before realizing your fist was coming into close contact with Pete’s face.

And that, my friends, is what Collective Bargaining is when Public Sector Unions do it… in terms so simple a stoned hippie could understand.

New 'Dancing With the Stars' cast announced

New 'Dancing With the Stars' cast announced

7:00 pm

ABC just has to maintain its presence at the water cooler. First with the Academy Awards. Then with Charlie Sheen. Now with the "Dancing with the Stars" lineup announcement.

We've all heard rumors. But the wait is finally over. The network announced the new cast during the East Coast airing of Monday's episode of "The Bachelor."

So let’s now (officially) take a look at who will be twirling (and/or fumbling) across the stage this season. Here are the folks likely to take up your time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays:

--Actor Ralph Macchio will revisit the “wax on, wax off” technique ... only he’ll be using his feet to add some sheen to the dance floor.

--Romeo Miller has dropped the “Lil’ ” from his name, and now Master P’s son is ready to take on the dancing world. Perhaps the training he got as a USC basketball player will help? Given his record ... maybe not.

-- Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson will add sashaying and shimmying (things we’re sure she’s familiar with) to diaper-changing and other mommyhood duties. And we’ll hear that ever-pleasant laugh in yet another forum.

--Model Petra Němcová will put those long legs to use this season ... and we can hear Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino now, cursing ABC for not waiting to put him on this season.

-- Wrestler Chris Jericho is ditching the mat for the hardwood. Let’s hope he doesn’t accidentally body-slam his partner.

-- Former “Cheers” star -- and Jenny Craig alum -- Kirstie Alley proved she could take dance instruction from John Travolta in “Look Who’s Talking.” Maybe those skills will transfer over?

-- Outspoken radio and TV personality Wendy Williams doesn’t mince her words. Can she keep her foot out of her mouth long enough to prance around the floor?

-- Actress Chelsea Kane -- who previously went by Chelsea Staub -- hails from the school of Disney, having appeared on “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Jonas L.A., ” just to name a few. Will her young following be enough to keep her in the game?

-- Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard has sparred with the best of them. Perhaps Evander Holyfield will pass along to him some helpful hints about how to jab with his feet, not fists. Wait ... that might not be such a good thing.

-- Hines Ward, wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is in good company with his fellow footballers-turned-dancers. The show has been good to NFL stars, with Emmitt Smith winning and Jerry Rice, Jason Taylor, Chad Ochocinco, Warren Sapp, Lawrence Taylor and Kurt Warner all competing and (some of them) doing well. Maybe Kroy Biermann (from the Atlanta Falcons or “Real Housewives of Atlanta, whichever is your pleasure) was busy?

-- If sex is like dancing, does that mean shelling out sex advice will translate to awesome dance moves? Or the opposite? We’ll find out when “Loveline” co-host Michael “Psycho Mike” Catherwood steps on the stage.

Show Trackers, what do you think of the lineup? Which of the contestants is the one to beat? Who is unlikely to get far?

-- Yvonne Villarreal
